  The best player for me is Kobe Bryant, he’s simply the best. He won a good model in 2008, as a member of the 2008 Summer Olympics U.S. Men’s Basketball Team. Kobe has lots of endorsements like signed a contract in adidas for six years and he got paid $48 million. “In 2008 Bryant completed a pair of viral videos showing him doing dangerous stunts to promote Nike’s Hyper Dunk shoes. The first showed Bryant jumping over a speeding Aston Martin and the second one showed Bryant with the crew of Jackass jumping over a pool of snakes. Both videos received over 4.5 million views each on YouTube.”

Q: Who’s the best player right now, in 2008 and 2009?

The best player right now is Kobe bryant because he and his team won the championship and he’s the MVP  (Most Variable Player). ”Kobe has started in every NBA All-Star Game that has been hosted, including winning the All-Star MVP award in 2002, 2007, and 2009.”  Kobe Bryant had the top selling jersey in the United States, Europe, China, and Philippines.

Basketball is a popular sport. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of 5 players try to score points against one another by,” placing a ball through a 10 foot (3.048 m) high hoop (the goal) under organized rules.”  There are five players on each team and each team tries to get the basketball in each other’s nets. There a few different ways you can score. The first is to make a basket within the large that extends past the free throw line. Any shot in this range is worth 2 points. Any shot made outside of the large arc is worth 3 points. If you are fouled while shooting, you may go to the free throw line to earn back your points. Each free throw is worth one point.

Basketball was invented in 1891, by James Naismith. “He did this by attaching two peach baskets to the tops of 10 ft. ladders at the opposite ends of a gynasium floor.” James Naismith was the Canadian physical education instructor. “James Naismith was born in Almonte, Ontario and educated at McGill University and Presbyterian Cllege in Montreal.”

Q:  How Did Basketball Get Its Name?

Basketball is called “the international game” because it is played in every civilized country of the world. Like many of our other games basketball didn’t develop slowly and does not have an ancient history. “Naismith combined the Indian game of lacrosse and British soccer to make a suitable indoor game. Instead of using a stick as in lacrosse, or kicking a ball with a foot as in soccer, he devised a game by which the ball is passed from player to player or dribbled by a single player and shot into a goal. When Naismith first created the game, he had used a wooden peach basket as goal. So the game began to be called basketball.”
